Trail running at the Grußberggut

Arrive, enjoy, feel good…

The Grußberggut offers trail runners and nature lovers a perfect starting point for their adventures in the surrounding mountains. There are numerous opportunities for trail running directly from the farm.

With a huge network of marked trails and paths, iconic two-thousand-meter peaks such as the Gamskarkogel (Europe’s highest grass mountain), the Graukogel, the Tischkogel and the Fulseck, as well as the adjacent Hohe Tauern National Park, the Gastein Valley offers incredible variety for trail run enthusiasts. This means running variety and a wealth of variants for route planning.

At the beginning of September, the entire valley is in trail running fever. Runners from all over the world meet in Gastein for the adidas TERREX INFINITE TRAILS. Our family also supports the runners on this day at our Grußberghütte in Rastötzen, which is the official aid station for the participants.

But there are also regular events for beginners to this trend sport, such as weekly taster sessions

The Gastein Valley is a fantastic destination for trail runners who want to combine nature, sport and wellness. Whether in summer or winter, there are always new challenges and wonderful views to discover. The Alpentherme Gastein offers the perfect place to relax and regenerate after a challenging trail run.
